Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy covers the Simple Pattern iOS and Android apps. Core patterns, presets, vault media, preferences, session history, and motion or audio-reactive processing stay on the device unless you deliberately start Android's optional Remote Control feature.

Local app data

• Motion-sensor values and microphone sound levels are processed in real time for reactive haptics. The apps do not upload raw motion samples or microphone recordings.
• Custom patterns, session history, preferences, and imported vault media are stored in each platform's app-private storage.
• No account is required. We do not collect precise GPS location, health records, facial data, or contacts.
• You can delete local content in the app. Uninstalling removes app-private storage, subject to platform backup settings.

Purchases

The iOS edition uses the Apple App Store. The Android edition uses Google Play Billing. Apple or Google processes payment information; Simple Pattern does not receive or store full payment-card details.

Android advertising and consent

The Android free tier includes Google Mobile Ads. Google's SDK automatically collects and shares IP address (used to estimate general location), app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. Data is encrypted in transit. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Google's User Messaging Platform requests advertising consent where required. When Google requires a persistent control, open Android Settings inside Simple Pattern and select Privacy choices to review or change advertising consent. The iOS edition does not include Google Mobile Ads. The Android release does not include Firebase Analytics.

Android optional encrypted relay

Remote Control connects only when you create or join a session. The Android app uses wss://simplepattern.learn-music-free.com/ws. The relay processes a short-lived room code, timestamps, public-key material, encrypted payloads, and the connection IP address used for rate limiting and service security.

Commands are encrypted between paired devices before relay using P-256 key agreement, HKDF-SHA256, and AES-GCM. The relay does not receive plaintext command content. Rooms expire after 30 minutes. Rate-limit metadata is held only in server memory. The current deployment may keep an inactive IP entry until the process restarts or that address reconnects; a bounded cleanup update is being prepared before Android production rollout.

Children

Simple Pattern does not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. The app requires no account or profile.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal data. Use the local deletion controls, select Privacy choices on Android when available, or contact us.
